Curriculum Diagram

Our curriculum is divided into four years and three phases. Phase 1 includes your first & second year of medical school. This can also be denominated by your year in medical school, (MS1, MS2, MS3, or MS4). You can see the rotation of courses by phase in the calendars below.

Schematics for Class of 2024. April: Required curriculum (OTC/T2/Step5), May: Family Medicine 4 weeks, June: OB/GYN 6 weeks, July: Anesthesia 2 weeks, August: Elective/Vacation, September: Step5 (2 days) and Surgery 8 weeks, Nov: Step5(2 days) and Medicine 8 weeks, Dec: same as Nov but winter break added at end and not Step5, Jan: Psychiatry 4 weeks, Feb: Neurology 4 weeks, March: Step5 (3 days) and Pediatrics 8 weeks.
Phase 3 calendar represents a sample schedule and not every student's schedule. In April students prepare for Phase 3 and Step 2 Study. In May students take the critical care selective. June is an open block, followed by electives in July and August. September is a four week emergency medicine rotation, followed by open block in October and an elective in November. In December, a two week open block is followed by a two week radiology clerkship. January is an elective, followed by Transitions 3 selective in February, a final elective in March and a sub-internship selective in April. Graduation is in May.
